Bobcats can live in areas that are in close proximity to people. Although the bobcat does not always prey on household pets, farm animals or poultry they can become prey. On occasion, the bobcat can dig holes. Their diet consists of small mammals and birds and may even eat a decaying animal if it is left untainted.
Bobcats are normally found in swamps and forests and they tend to stay a couple of miles from their home, so it may be possible to see one in your area. They primarily hunt in the evening. Should you see a bobcat in your area, it is important that you bring your small pets and children inside for safety.
