Squirrels can gain access into your home or office through an open entry point ex: roof tile, broken screen or gaps between the roof and wall. Florida is home to three (3) species of tree squirrels the gray squirrel, fox and flying squirrel and one ground squirrel known as the Eastern Chipmunk. The most common squirrel found in Florida is the gray squirrel.
They can cause a significant amount of damage costing you hundreds if not thousands of dollars in repairs. Squirrels can roost in your attics and crawl spaces. They can cause damage to the insulation contaminating it with urine, feces, germs and other bacteria, they can chew through electrical wire, pipes, AC ductwork, screens, as well as cause damage to louver vents, attic vents and gable vents. They also cause problems by digging in the yard, chewing on ornamental or potted plants, eating the bird and pet food, damaging the fruit, vegetable and nut crops.
Removing the squirrels in an efficient and timely manner can prevent further problems and long-term damage.
